About St Neot’s – Sports.
The main aims of the Sports Programme at St Neot’s are for pupils to:
Have the opportunity to be physically active
Play and experience many different competitive and friendly games
Develop values of hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship
In order for us to achieve these aims, the St Neot’s pupils will enjoy up to 4 PE and games sessions each week. These are planned to be enjoyable for pupils of all abilities. Pupils are able to develop their skills using our world class facilities including the sports hall, indoor pool, outdoor cricket nets, full sized astro and 3 hard tennis/netball courts.
During the year all pupils from years 3-8 regardless of their level of experience and expertise will play weekly fixtures for the school. Many of our children go on to receive sports scholarships to their senior school.
There are numerous house sports competitions played throughout the year with the highlights being the school triathlon and Sports Day in the summer term. The final event of Sports Day is the whole school house relay, which has been a long held tradition at St Neot’s and sees every pupil in the house running a leg of the relay.
